raaz - the mystry ....

i felt asleep twice in the whole movie. the show was from 9 to 11pm, yet i fell asleep. u can guess the strength of this horror flick.

so scary... hahaha.

raaz - the mystry fails

vikram bhatt would have been the better option for the direction rather than mohit suri. after earlier raaz and 1920 one can believe vikram is good for horror flicks.

Raaz - The Mystery Continues Pre-release Review
The first thriller of the New Year - 2009, 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues' promises to make you sit on the edge all through. Though the movie shares its name with the 2002-blockbuster 'Raaz', it is neither its sequel, nor shares any similarity with the latter. Directed by Mohit Suri, it has Toshi, Sharib, Raju Singh and Gourov Dasgupta as the music directors and Sayeed Quadri and Kumaar as the lyricists. The movie will be released on 23rd January 2009, under the banners 'Vishesh Films' and 'Sony BMG'. Its star cast includes Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman.

The story of 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues' revolves around the life of three individuals - Prithvi (Emraan Hashmi), Nandita (Kangna Ranaut) and Yash (Adhyayan Suman). Prithvi is an artist, who has been experiencing strange and upsetting visions for quite sometime. They involve Nandita, a woman whom he has never even met. Disturbed by the dreams, he paints them on a canvas, while trying to locate the woman he sees in them. Somehow, he manages to track down Nandita and shows her his paintings, trying to explain that these are not mere images, but mishaps that are waiting to happen!

Nandita, being a rational human being, refuses to believe the 'dream story' of Prithvi and thinks of him as a weird stalker. The thought is shared by Yash, Nandita's boyfriend, who rubbishes Prithvi’s premonitions. However, sometime later, Nandita comes across near-death incidents in her life. The worst part is that these accidents bear a striking resemblance to Prithvi’s paintings. With the evidence staring right in her face, she finds it difficult not to accept Prithvi’s explanation. As time passes, she is haunted by a series of deathly and paranormal experiences.

The incidents start to dissolve Nandita's belief in logic and her reason begins crumbling in the face of fear. While she is still trying to struggle between rational thinking and paranormal experiences, Prithvi makes one more painting and this one shows her as dead. If she wants to escape the death that has been written in her fate, she will have to unravel the mystery, that too with the help of Prithvi. However, if she does this, she risks losing Yash. Will Nandita risk her love and her life to solve the mystery? If she does, will she be able to find out the truth and save herself from death?

this time the film though is doing quite in box office is not so good and well appreactiating compared to the earlier raaz.

luck by chance - by chance only

no one can believe that this is a farhan akthtar starrer film who debuted through ROCK ON. great writer and excellent director of DIL CHAHATA HAI, LAKHSHYA, AND DON played such a flat and cheap role- unbelievable. the huge special appearance as a fashion these days in bollywood also look very forced and flashy.
story line is very weak and screenplay even weaker. the performances are ok. music is not to the expectation.

The fantasy sellers and the devoted audience, the insane love for Cinema mixed with the eccentric notion of divinity and archaic beliefs; these are the contradictions that keep this world spinning.
The stark reality of living in India juxtaposed with the fantastical world depicted on screen suddenly begins to make sense... Sona arrives in Bombay with her dreams of becoming a film star. Wide eyed but ambitious, she does whatever it takes, to make it. She lives on her own in a rented apartment - a luxury for most in this bustling city and spends her time with a motley crew of loyal friends whose lives are also entwined with Bollywood, each one in search of a bigger dream. Vikram has just moved to the City leaving the comforts of his parents Delhi Home. He is a mover, he is used to getting what he wants and is smart enough to know when to demand it and when to manipulate it. He is young and handsome, and full of promise. Sona begins to enjoy Vikram’s attention and affections; they develop a romantic relationship. Rolly is a successful though superstitious producer who only works with the biggest stars. He is making a potential blockbuster launching the nubile Nikki Khurana, the 18-year-old daughter of 70's superstar, Neena. The hero of the film, Zaffar Khan, is Rolly’s favorite superstar. He was launched by Rolly and went on to become a huge draw at the box office. The wheels of fate indeed continue to spin favorably for Vikram, as elsewhere in the industry, havoc spreads on the sets of producer Rommy Rolly's new film. Vikram is called in for an audition and uses this opportunity to the fullest. The film is about a slice of Bollywood life, in which Kismet plays a huge role. Here, notions of superstition, fate and destiny underline every life, as grand desires and opportunity converge to form strange patterns. In such an unpredictable climate is success and failure what others define for you or is it something you decide for yourself. Luck By Chance is a contemporary tale set in a world desperate to escape its own reality.

anyway bserving the bollywood world closely is much more easier through luck by chance though the box office collection also highly depends on luck.
